Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Green Infrastructure Conference
This year marks the first ever Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Green Infrastructure Conference. This conference is drawing engineers, landscape architects, water quality professionals, government officials (local, state, provincial, and federal), developers, planners, academia, drain and road agencies, conservation and non-profit organizations, and interest groups from around the world, including the Great Lakes basin in Canada and the U.S. This is the first conference to focus on using green infrastructure across the landscape with a primary goal of protecting the surface waters in the Great Lakes region. The time is right for a comprehensive look at this important topic. Toledo Senior Project Manager Tim Murphy will present “Nutrient Source Inventory—A Public Facing Water Quality Informational Tool” on Wednesday, May 31 from 1:50-2:10pm as part of the Great Lakes track.

A&WMA 110th Annual Conference & Exhibition
The theme of this year’s Annual Conference & Exhibition (ACE) is “Bridging Environment, Energy & Health”. CEC is excited to welcome visitors from all over the world to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – home to CEC’s corporate headquarters. CEC will have a significant presence at this year’s national A&WMA Annual Conference, which will include two exhibit booth locations # 307 (CEC) and # 203 (CEC Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS)). In addition to visiting with CEC experts at our exhibit booths, attendees can also catch one of the eight CEC presentations or two CEC posters on display. Pittsburgh Project Manager Chris Hortert will present, “Contaminated Groundwater Flow Control Across an Inverted Groundwater Divide with Three Groundwater Control Systems” on Tuesday, June 6. Pittsburgh Project Manager III Dan Tolmer and Pittsburgh Vice President Rick Buffalini will present, “Design and Performance of an Alternative Final Cover System at a Coal Combustion Residual Surface Impoundment” on Wednesday morning, June 7. Pittsburgh Senior Project Manager Mark Orzechowski and Pittsburgh Project Manager III Dan Tolmer will present “Managing Springs Emanating from Coal Combustion Residual Disposal Impoundments” on Wednesday morning, June 7. Columbus Principal John McGreevy will host a panel discussion on “Air Quality Regulations in the Oil and Natural Gas Industry: Challenges, Lessons, and Opportunities” on Wednesday afternoon, June 7. Pittsburgh Assistant Project Manager Brianne Hastings and Pittsburgh Principal Tom Walsh will present, “Groundwater Modeling for Closure of the Little Blue Run CCR Disposal Area” on Wednesday morning, June 7. Pittsburgh Principal Duane Lanoue and Pittsburgh Assistant Project Manager Matt Foltz will have a poster on display throughout the conference titled, “Installation of Conductive Geomembrane and Leak Location Methods for an Impoundment”. Posters will be featured with short presentations on Tuesday morning, June 6. Pittsburgh Project Manager III Mark Maguire will have a poster on display throughout the conference titled, “Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Database Tools for Environmental Compliance - Making Sense of "Big Data". Tennesee Municipal League Annual Conference
TML will be holding its 78th Annual Conference this year. The Tennessee Municipal League (TML) is a voluntary, cooperative organization established by the cities and towns of the state for mutual assistance and improvement. The League’s primary function is to work with the Tennessee General Assembly on behalf of city governments, promoting legislation helpful to cities and opposing legislation harmful to cities. PACA Summer Summit
Pennsylvania Aggregates and Concrete Association (PACA) is a member-driven trade association, which represents the aggregates and concrete industries on issues of mining, taxation, transportation, air, water, and other critical regulatory matters before the Pennsylvania General Assembly. PACA monitors legislative issues, informs and alerts its members about current developments, and communicates the industry’s point of view to state policy makers. PACA works closely with the Pennsylvania Departments of Transportation, Environmental Protection, Conservation and Natural Resources and Agriculture as well as Penn State University. The Southeastern Electric Exchange (SEE) is a non-profit, non-political trade association of investor-owned electric utility companies founded in 1933. This year’s Annual Conference and Trade Show is a three-day event that affords many opportunities for attendees to meet and network in formal and informal business environments.
