2018 PSLS Surveyors' Conference
The 2018 Surveyors’ Conference is designed to offer surveyors and others interested in surveying-related industries the tools to succeed in the profession. Structured workshops present a wide range of learning objectives, including Boundary, GNSS, stormwater, business, floodplains, and more. Vendors will be available in the exhibit hall to discuss the latest equipment, technology, and trends! Pittsburgh Project Manager Mark Maguire will be serving on the sUAS Mapping Panel starting at 10:30am on Monday, January 22.

PACE 42nd Annual Reception
PACE is an important part of making Maryland's political leadership aware of the needs and the specific requests of Allegany and Garrett Counties. This effort is vital when it comes time for Senate or House Committee to decide which program to fund or which project to include in the budget. The 42nd Annual Reception and Breakfast will provide the Delegation with a strong show of local support for issues they are pressing in Annapolis. CEC will be exhibiting at this year's event. IMAA Winter Workshops & Trade Show
The IMAA Committees worked hard to secure an excellent line-up of speakers and presentations for the 2018 Winter Workshops. This year, IMAA is partnering with OpacitAir Smoke School to provide smoke school training and certification. The Operations Seminar on January 29th is Reducing Recurring Equipment Failures by Identifying Root Causes - an interactive seminar to help you identify wear and malfunctions up front, what the causes might be, and how to take corrective action. The Workshop Sessions are designed to educate everyone from Sales Professionals to QC Technicians, Owners and CEOs to Safety and Environmental Managers, and everyone in-between. Indianapolis Principal Beth Hillen is scheduled to present "Rules & Regulations of Cultural/Historical Preservation" on Tuesday, January 30 starting at 2:00pm. Located in Charleston, WV, the West Virginia Coal Association (WVCA) is a trade association representing more than 90 percent of the state's underground and surface coal mine production. Its purpose is to have a unified voice representing the state's coal industry as well as increase emphasis on coal as a reliable energy source to help the nation achieve energy independence. This is the 45th year for the Symposium which always brings together coal-producing members, associate member suppliers and experts, national and state officials and elected representatives from across West Virginia.
